Sclerotherapy

Tiny red or purple lines on the legs are called spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a tiny amount of liquid with a tiny needle, causing the little vein to collapse down. With no blood flow in the vein, it can no longer be seen. The procedure is time consuming. The amount of veins needed to be injected determines the amount of time it takes. It is usually a 30-60 minute session that costs $500. After the procedure, you are encouraged to wear compression stockings for 48 hours and to continue wearing them while sleeping for two weeks. The compression maximizes your results.
